Which one to read first
These are not interchangeable. Steal An Egg has a fairly rigid progression, and reading them out of order mostly wastes your time.
If you have played under an hour, the beginner guide is the only one that matters. It covers the free 10,000 Speed most players miss entirely, unlocking the treadmill, and the margin rule that decides whether a run succeeds. Everything else assumes you already have those three.
If you are stalled — income feels fine but the next biome stays out of reach — read how to get Speed fast. The usual cause is spending on treadmill tiers when a trail would compound better, and that guide explains the difference in one paragraph.
If you are running Cosmic comfortably, the Cherry Blossom guide and the Sakura Incubator guide cover the endgame: a 2.5B Speed gate, an unlock that requires giving up a pet you had to survive the region to get, and the only route to a 3× income multiplier in the game.
If you keep losing pets to other players, stealing and base defense explains what can actually be taken, why Speed protects you more than any base upgrade does, and the two things no legitimate player will ever ask you for.
How these Steal An Egg guides are written
Every guide is built on the sourced dataset behind this site rather than on someone's memory of a stream. Where a figure appears in a guide, it comes from the same records that drive the biome and pet tables, carries the same check date, and changes everywhere at once when we correct it. Where something is genuinely unknown — per-egg hatch durations, the egg respawn cycle — the guides say so instead of filling the gap with a number.
