Calculator

Steal An Egg speed calculator

Speed is the only real wall in Steal An Egg, and the gates rise faster than most players expect — 17M for Prehistoric, then 700M for Cosmic. This calculator works the grind out from your own two numbers.

Data on this page last checked . Steal An Egg updates every Saturday — report a change.

How long until the next biome?

Both numbers are on your screen in-game: your Speed stat, and the Speed per second the treadmill is currently giving you. Shorthand works — type 170k or 2.5b.

What these numbers actually mean

  • These are upper bounds, not predictions. The maths assumes your treadmill rate never changes. In practice you keep upgrading it, so real times come in substantially faster — often by an order of magnitude across a long grind.
  • Trails multiply, treadmill adds. Buying a better trail raises the rate you enter above, which is why a trail upgrade usually beats another treadmill tier.
  • Clearing the number is not the same as surviving. The requirement is the entry floor. Guardians chase, and a big egg slows you down, so aim for roughly 2–3× a biome's requirement before you try to carry anything out of it.
  • The Saturday Admin Abuse event skips a chunk of this. Speed multipliers during the event let players reach biomes far above their normal stat.

The jump column is the part most guides skip. Progression is smooth up to Snow, then Cosmic asks for roughly forty times what Prehistoric did, and Cherry Blossom asks for another three and a half times on top. Those two steps are where nearly everyone stalls, and where the Saturday Admin Abuse event stops being a nice bonus and becomes the practical way through.

Raising the rate, not just the total

The planner asks for your treadmill rate because that is the number the whole grind divides by. Doubling it halves every remaining estimate on the page. Two things raise it:

That makes the loop simple: income buys rate, rate buys biomes, biomes buy better pets, better pets buy more income. The full breakdown is on the Speed guide.

Speed FAQ

How long does it take to reach Cosmic in Steal An Egg?

Cosmic needs 700M Speed. At 1,000 Speed per second on the treadmill that is roughly eight days of continuous running — but nobody plays that way, because every treadmill and trail upgrade raises the rate. Put your own numbers into the planner for a real figure.

What Speed do I need for Cherry Blossom?

Cherry Blossom needs 2.5B Speed, and you also have to feed a Crane to the Cherry Blossom Tree to open the region. It is the hardest area in the game to reach.

Is the minimum Speed enough to survive a biome?

No. The requirement is the entry floor. Guardians chase you and a large egg slows you down, so aim for roughly two to three times a biome’s requirement before trying to carry anything out.

What is the fastest way to raise Speed?

Claim the free 10,000 Speed first, then keep every dollar of pet income going into treadmill upgrades, and buy a better trail whenever you can afford one because trails multiply rather than add.
