Two kinds of fusion

Most confusion about fusion in Steal An Egg comes from treating these as one thing. They take different pets, sit in different places and suit players at opposite ends of the game.

The Fuse Machine

The prompt reads "Bring 3 same Pets to Fuse". That means three of the same species — three Walruses, not three Epic pets. The machine destroys all three and hands back one egg of that species, which hatches like any other egg. Its own hint is that better pets give more luck, so stronger inputs raise the chance of a stronger or mutated result. No odds are published anywhere.

Sources disagree on one point worth knowing: one guide describes the output as an upgraded pet rather than an egg. Two others, one of them a recorded walkthrough, show and describe an egg, which is what this page goes with. One recording also says fusing does not make the pet bigger.

When fusing is worth it

• Yes: three copies of a pet sitting outside your pen earning nothing. Clutter becomes one egg with a chance at something better.
• Think first: copies that differ in size or carry a mutation. One guide says a mutation is not carried across, so the machine consumes it either way.
• No: pets you are earning from. Three become one, so your income drops the moment you fuse, and the egg rarely makes up for all three.

The Secret Shrine

The shrine arrived with the Angels vs Demons update. The developer changelog only said that "the Demons have been whispering" about a shrine somewhere in the new biome. Players found it within hours, and what they found agrees closely enough to write down.

How to get in

1. Reach the Angels and Demons biome, the furthest area from the safe zone. It is recommended at 20B Speed.
2. Find the waterfalls. The shrine is behind one of them.
3. Walk into the middle waterfall. Two separate walkthroughs say this teleports you straight into the shrine.

What it takes

Inside are two pedestals, one for Light and one for Dark. Both a written guide and a recording show the pair. The prompt tells you to hold a Divine or Eternal pet, and the recordings name the two options Divine Fusion and Eternal Fusion. According to the written guide, only Eternal or Divine pets from the Light and Darkness sides are accepted. Other Eternals and Divines are turned away. In the current roster that means four pets:

• Skeleton Horse — Eternal, Darkness side (Demon Eggs)
• World Burner — Divine, Darkness side (Demon Eggs)
• Pegasus — Eternal, Light side (Angel Eggs)
• ArchAngel — Divine, Light side (Angel Eggs)

One detail does not line up. The written guide says Light or Darkness pets work, but two recordings read the prompt as asking for a "light" Divine or Eternal. It may be as simple as a Light pedestal and a Dark pedestal, each taking its own side. Nobody has shown a Darkness pet being accepted or refused, so that is not settled here.

What comes out

This is the part nobody has on camera. One written guide says that once the fusion completes you receive a fusion egg, which you place in your pen and hatch. None of the recordings got that far. The players filming either did not own a qualifying pet or stopped at the prompt. There are no odds, no wait time and no list of what that egg can hatch into.

• What a Secret Shrine fusion produces, beyond one guide calling it an egg
• Whether a fusion consumes both pedestal pets, one, or neither
• Whether Darkness pets are accepted on both pedestals or only one
• Odds for either machine. Neither the Fuse Machine nor the shrine publishes any
• The Fuse Machine's cash fee. It comes from a single guide, so it is not quoted here

Does the Fuse Machine keep mutations?

One written guide says a mutation on a pet you feed in is not carried over, and no source says otherwise. Treat a mutated pet as lost if you fuse it.
