The two ways mutations happen
Found on the map, or fused
Silver, Golden and Rainbow appear on already-mutated eggs out in the biomes, or can be produced with the Fuse Machine. Finding them is pure RNG — there is no known way to influence which mutation appears on a wild egg.
The Sakura Incubator
Bloom and Spirit Bloom exist only here, in the Cherry Blossom biome, and the machine runs on Sakura Crystals collected during the Great Bloom event. The odds are heavily weighted: Bloom on 97.5% of rolls and Spirit Bloom on the remaining 2.5% — roughly one in 40.
What those odds actually mean
A single incubator roll returns, on average, 1.537× the base income — (97.5% × 1.5) + (2.5% × 3). In other words, every roll is worth taking, but the average outcome is close to a plain Bloom. Spirit Bloom is the tail, not the expectation.
That has a clear strategic consequence: spend crystals on your highest-base-income eggs. Because the multiplier is proportional, a 1.5× on a Divine pet is worth more than a 3× on anything from an early biome. Put the two cases side by side in the income calculator if you want to see the gap.

How do you get mutations?
Two routes. Silver, Golden and Rainbow are found on the map or produced by the Fuse Machine. Bloom and Spirit Bloom come only from the Sakura Incubator in the Cherry Blossom biome.
Do mutations stack with size?
Yes. A large pet with a mutation earns more than either bonus alone, which is why two pets of the same species can be worth very different amounts.
Can you get a mutation on a pet you already own?
Mutations are applied to eggs, not to hatched pets — which means the decision of which egg to spend crystals on has to be made before you know what is inside.
