How the Hungry Monster works

The monster stands next to the Sell Shop and has a hunger bar. Every infested egg you bring it fills 20% of that bar, so five eggs takes it to 100% and produces a Monster Chest. It then resets immediately — there is no cooldown between rounds, only the time it takes you to find five more eggs.

The egg you feed it is consumed. Infested eggs are ordinary eggs that have been turned, so the one in your hands might be something you would rather hatch. Look at what it is before you hand it over.

Where infested eggs spawn

From Snow onwards. Player footage of the update states it plainly, and no earlier biome has been reported as producing them:

Infested eggs are created during the ordinary egg reset — some random number of the eggs that respawn come back infested. The rate has not been published, and we are not going to invent one. What a Monstrous Egg hatches

Six pets appear in the retained source table. The percentages below total 99%, not 100%; that gap is unresolved. Treat them as historical reported figures, not a complete distribution or a spending recommendation.

There were three reported ways to get a Monstrous Egg: the Monster Chest, the new Titan Temple area, and buying them directly in the shop for Robux — until the 2026-09-12 update swapped the Monster Egg out of the shop for the Luminous Egg. A separate Monstrous mutation is reported at 1.5% — that figure comes from a single source and is marked single-source in the citations below.

Titan Temple, the area this update opened

The same update added an area called Titan Temple. When this page first went up, the only figure anyone had was a recommended Speed of 7 billion read off player footage — a recommendation rather than a stated gate — and no pet list at all.

That has since been sourced. A showcase video hatches all eight of its eggs in order and names the tiers as it goes, a written database supplies the roster, and a second clip quotes the same 7 billion as a minimum for the area. It is now the eleventh entry onour biome table, with its ownpage. Income per second is still the one thing missing: the figures in circulation contradict each other, so every Titan Temple pet is published with its income unknown rather than guessed.

What is the Hungry Monster event in Steal An Egg?

A limited-time event that ran from 2026-08-29 to 2026-09-05. A monster sat beside the Sell Shop; you brought it infested eggs, and every five fed earned a Monster Chest. It has since been removed.

Where do infested eggs spawn?

Player footage of the update says they appear from Snow onwards — so Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric, Cosmic, Cherry Blossom, Titan Temple. Earlier biomes have not been reported as producing them. Each egg reset turns some random number of eggs infested; the rate has not been published.

How many infested eggs does the Hungry Monster need?

Do I lose the egg I feed it?

Six pets: Scorpio at 39%, Froggo at 24%, Crawler at 18%, Crocodon at 11%, Krakenoid at 6.5%, Dreadscale at 0.5%. These retained percentages total 99%, so the table is incomplete or rounded; we do not normalize it into a full probability model.

Is the Monster Egg only from the chest?

No. Three routes were reported: the Monster Chest, the Titan Temple area, and buying them outright in the shop with Robux. The shop route ended on 2026-09-12, when the Luminous Egg replaced the Monster Egg there.

What happens when the event ends?

It was removed on 2026-09-05 with the weekly update that brought the Rift. Existing pets remained. The shop route was separately reported as removed on 12 September; current availability must be checked in the game.
