Sources agree the event repeats every 30 minutes on server time and lasts about 3 minutes. We have not yet confirmed in-game that the cycle aligns to :00 and :30 on the wall clock. Treat the countdown as an estimate and use the in-game timer on the Sakura Incubator as the authority — the re-sync control on our timer exists precisely for this.
What the Great Bloom actually is
A three-minute window in the Cherry Blossom biome where Sakura trees can be smashed with a bat for Sakura Crystals, which feed the Sakura Incubator and its Bloom / Spirit Bloom mutations. Unlocked by feeding a Crane to the Cherry Blossom Tree.
The event is short by design. A 3-minute window inside a 30-minute cycle means you are eligible for roughly 10% of any given hour. Everyone who plays the Cherry Blossom biome seriously plans around it, because Sakura Crystals are the only route to the two strongest mutations in the game.
Getting the most out of a window
- Be in the biome before it opens. Travelling to Cherry Blossom mid-event burns a large share of three minutes.
- Bring the bat. Crystals come from hitting blooming trees, not from walking past them.
- Have eggs ready to mutate. Crystals are only useful at the Sakura Incubator, so hold unmutated eggs for the trip.
- Use the in-game timer as the authority. Once the Sakura Incubator is unlocked, it shows the real countdown on top of the machine.
What the crystals are for
The Sakura Incubator converts crystals into mutated eggs. The odds are lopsided:Bloom at 1.5× income comes up on 97.5% of rolls, and Spirit Bloom at 3× — the best multiplier in the game — on the remaining 2.5%. That works out to roughly one Spirit Bloom per 40 rolls on average.
Because Spirit Bloom is so rare, it is worth saving crystals for your highest-base-income eggs. Tripling a $600M/s Oni Tiger is worth vastly more than tripling anything from an early biome. The income calculator makes that comparison concrete.

What do Sakura Crystals do?
They feed the Sakura Incubator, which applies the Bloom mutation (1.5x income, 97.5% of rolls) or Spirit Bloom (3x income, 2.5% of rolls) to an egg.
